As our 350th Anniversary of the 1676 Tree of Peace concludes, join us for our Knick-at-Night Souper Supper as we honor the key figures who forged this historic event.
Experience the Mansion's mysteries by Candlelight as you are entertained by the Ghosts of King Philip of the New England Indians, Colonial Governor Andros, Hiram Janzen Knickerbocker, Johannes Knickerbocker and Charter Member of the Knick
Historical Society Charlotte Wanko as they share their parts by vignette in the legacy of the Peace Tree. Enjoy a guided tour to the site of the Tree if you wish.
Fortify yourselves before and after the ghostly entertainments with our Souper Supper -- with crocks of Clam Chowder Potato Bacon Leek Soup, Chili, Sausage Tortellini Soup, Squash & Cauliflower Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup, and Autumn Carrot Sweet Potato Soup with desserts and beverages, under our covered Pavilion or as take-out. Ghostly tours begin at 6:00 p.m., call 518 588-7132 for reservations.
Knickerbocker Mansion is considered the most significant historic building in Upper Rensselaer County, located at the convergence of the Hoosic River and Tomhannock Creek, at the base of the historic Indian Trails to Boston. Built by Johannes and Elizabeth Knickerbocker in the 1780s, the Mansion's architecture is of a rare Middle Ages style.
Thank you for considering us for your October dining and historic entertainment. We are a 501-C3 charitable organization and all proceeds fund the restoration of Knickerbocker Mansion.
